My Review: Let me tell you the first thing that drew me to the book was the title. This is the first book that I have read by this author so I was not sure what to expect. I have to say that Meg did not disappoint me. I felt like I was right there with Tish as she left the cold of Michigan to go South. Another thing I enjoyed was how the author blended history in the modern story. Me being a history fan loved this part. The character development was very good and you felt as if you were reading about real life people in a real life situations. I will be on the look out for more books by this author. 5 stars
