A Carol Christmas by Sheila Roberts - Review

Published: December 21, 2015
Number of pages: 243
Genre: Fiction

Synopsis;
A VERY CRAZY CHRISTMAS…

The last thing advertising planner Andie Hartwell wants to do is spend the holidays with her crazy family in Carol, Washington. She’s going to stay in New York City and have a sane Christmas instead of enduring life at home which is bound to consist of chimney fires, questionable treats, and dysfunctional family drama. But when her family chips in for a plane ticket she finds herself back in her hometown, trying to referee between her divorced parents and avoid getting sucked into helping with Mom’s new business, Man Haters, Inc., while keeping the sibling rivalry to a minimum. Hardest of all is trying to ignore the fact that she’s still drawn to Gabe Knightly, the man who was the love of her life... until he dated both her best friend and her sister. This is going to be the worst Christmas of her life. Or is it?

What did I think of this book:
One of my favorite authors wrote another great Christmas book. I don't know what it is but Sheila has a way of writing a story that could be about your family not just some characters in a book. Who does not think that their family is crazy and dysfunctional? I have to say I felt bad for Andie when she got back home and things started going bad from the moment she got home. Then things just kept getting worse as the days go by. Then you have Gabe who just wants to prove he has changed and wants Andie back. Next we have Andie's dad - he was another one I felt bad for, he just seemed like a sad man to me. Andie's mom and aunt Chloe are just plane crazy but you had to laugh at aunt Chloe. I wish there was a second book as I would love to hear more about this family and what happens next.

About the author:
Sheila Roberts lives on a lake in the Pacific Northwest. She’s happily married and has three children. Her books have been best-sellers, Amazon top ten romance picks, and her popular holiday novel, "On Strike for Christmas" was made into a movie for the Lifetime channel. When she’s not speaking to women’s groups or at conferences she can be found writing about those things near and dear to women’s hearts: family, friends, and chocolate.
