What is this book about
Sophia Ashton’s new medical assistant job comes with the perks of living on the Colburn property, which include being surrounded by a loving family—something she’s never known. During the job’s trial period, a patient puts Sophia in a questionable position. Now she must prove her competence or lose her job and home.

Nicholas Vestal is working on a sheep farm to earn a starter flock, but before his contract is up, he inherits a house in the village. While fixing up the old house he pursues Sophia Ashton, believing she is the woman God wants him to marry. But when her difficult past blocks his plan, he must find a way to her heart.

Meanwhile, outside the Land...
When plant biologist Bailey Colburn is offered a research job, she knows Justin Mercer is playing her somehow. Working for the former naval flight officer sounds better than her other options in post-war Norfolk, even though Justin says he once met her long lost relatives. But when Justin introduces Bailey to the mysterious gray leaf tree, his unbelievable claims change her world.

My thoughts:
This is the latest book in the Uncharted series. I had the pleasure of getting to read them back to back. The author did a good job in adding little details to make this book and the entire series seem like someplace you can live. I have enjoyed following the characters through their journey.  Watching Nicholas and Sophia have a relationship that grows as you read was a nice touch. There is also a touch of suspense in this story. I also liked that in this book we got to see a different part of the land and more characters. It was interesting how they were pulled together by the grey leaf tree. I am happy that I got the chance to read this series.

About this book
It’s Christmastime in Good Springs, and Lydia Bradshaw is eager for the light at the end of her year—the Colburn family’s big holiday gathering. When she discovers none of her siblings are coming back to the village this year, she believes Christmas will be ruined. As Lydia faces a gloomy holiday in the Colburn house, an unexpected romance brightens her favorite season. Will it be enough to rekindle the light of Christmas?

Spend Christmas with the Colburns in this inspirational holiday novella. If you like the traditional setting and sweet romance of Amish Fiction but are looking for something new, read Christmas with the Colburns today to jump into a fast-paced story of Christmastime in a hidden land.

Holiday recipe included!

My thoughts:
I loved the Christmas setting of this book. What a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon but to read a Christmas themed book. This was a novella so it read rather quickly, but had the impact of a full length book. I felt for Lydia when she learned that she would be spending the holiday without her family but then things turn around for her. Like all the other books the author's attention to detail really added to the story. A good addition to this series.

About this book
As Bethany Colburn completes her apprenticeship and dodges unwanted suitors, a mysterious man arrives in her village. He brings charm Bethany has never encountered and illness the Land has never known. She will need more than her heightened intuition to uncover the truth about life in the Land.

Just when Everett Foster finds the courage to confess his love for Bethany, a stranger threatens his future with her--and their whole society. Everett must protect the Land, run a farm, and win back Bethany’s heart

My thoughts:
A few things that I liked about this book as well as the rest of the series is the great character development in all the books. Not to mention the setting how the past is blended with the modern world in a way you would not expect. A good writing style that flows off the pages. Following along with Bethany as she grows into adulthood was a nice addition to this series. I have enjoyed each of these books and recommend them all.

About this book
Mandy Foster regrets her past. If anyone discovers her secret, tradition dictates she will be shunned. She’s determined to guard her heart, even if it means a lifetime alone.

Breaking from the Land’s tradition, carpenter Levi Colburn is building his house outside the village—across the road from Mandy Foster to be exact. Though he hopes to marry Mandy someday, she rejected him once and has been unattainable to every man in the village ever since. When rebels tear through Good Springs and abduct Mandy, it’s up to Levi to find her. But will she accept the tender care of the one man who truly loves her?

My thoughts
This book had me on the edge of my seat when Mandy was taken away. All I wanted was for Levi to find her and bring her home. I enjoyed the mix of romance and suspense that the author gave us in this story. The story of the grey leaf tree being told and the healing properties is interesting. I liked how this book picked up where the first one left off but then it left me wanting me more. I was glad that I had the next book on hand.

About this book
Lydia Colburn is a young physician dedicated to serving her village in the Land, an undetectable island in the South Atlantic Ocean. When Lt. Connor Bradshaw’s parachute carries him from the world war to Lydia's hidden land, his mission could expose her simple society. As Connor searches for a way to return to his squadron, his fascination with life in the Land makes him protective of Lydia and her peaceful homeland, and Lydia’s attraction to Connor stirs desires she never anticipated. But will they be able to keep the Land hidden?

My thoughts
This where is all started. The adventure of mixing a historical book with a fantasy book was a great idea. I enjoyed getting to know all about the hidden land and each of the characters. The details were told in such a way that you felt that you are a part of the story. I liked the way the author weaved this tale. You also get a touch of suspense and romance in this story. If you are looking for a book that won't let you go and leaves you wanting more then this is the book for you. I do give you a warning that once you start this book you better have the other four books handy to start when you finish.
