Meet the author - Joyce Tremel
Joyce Tremel was a police secretary for ten years and more than once envisioned the demise of certain co-workers, but settled on writing as a way to keep herself out of jail. She is a native Pittsburgher and lives in a suburb of the city with her husband.
Her debut mystery, To Brew Or Not To Brew

My thoughts
This is a fun series to read. I liked that it was set around Oktoberfest which is always a fun time of year especially for craft brewers. It was fun to meet up with Max again and to see what she is up to. The author does a good job of giving you just enough clues to make you think you know what happened but then here comes another twist. For me that makes a good mystery book. I picked this book up and by the end of the weekend was finished with it. I enjoy this author's writing style and am looking forward to more books by her.
