Cryssa Bazos is a historical fiction writer and 17th Century enthusiast, with a particular interest in the English Civil War (ECW). What did I think of this book: 

Book set in this time period tend to grab my interest. I am a fan of the pre-1900 time period and read as much set in that time and about it as I can. This is the first book I have read by this author and I was not disappointed in it. I enjoyed all the historical details she included in her story. I have not actually read much about the English Civil War so I learned a bit as reading this and now want more. It was fun to watch as Elizabeth and James's relationship grew throughout the book. Even though James did some questionable things I found myself liking him more and more as the book went along. I was happy that this story was well written and well told as it made the book move along quite nicely. I will be watching for more books by this author.
