Book description
Whoever said that dead men tell no tales has never met Cass Donnovan... Cass has always relied on her abilities to guide her, but after communications with a ghost land her in the middle of a murder investigation, she has to wonder if her gifts are really more a curse. Cass knows she is meant to help track down the killer--much to the chagrin of local law enforcement--when the apparition leads her to a dead body on the beach near her psychic shop, Mystical Musings. But the police are not the only ones who wish Cass would stick to reading palms. Someone is trying to scare her off, and it will take all her powers of premonition to catch the killer before Cass herself becomes the next victim...
Meet the author - Lena Gregory
Lena Gregory lives in a small town on the south shore of eastern Long Island with her husband and three children. When she was growing up, she spent many lazy afternoons on the beach, in the yard, anywhere she could find to curl up with a good book. She loves reading as much now as she did then, but she now enjoys the added pleasure of creating her own stories.

My thoughts
This is a fun series. I like the physic/paranormal parts of this book as I find that whole thing interesting. I will tell you that these parts of the book are not in your face overwhelming but at the same time a great addition to the story. The main character Cass is growing as this series goes along. It was nice hearing more about her and her friends, it kind of feels like visiting your own friends. I like how the story flows and is a quick fun mystery. The author likes to give just enough clues to keep you guessing. Just when you think you have everything figured out you find you don't. This is the third book in this series but you are able to read it as a standalone. This is one of the series I recommend you give a try.

I have never had the opportunity to talk to a physic, but I'm not saying they are real. We all have talents.
ReplyDeleteI visited a psychic once, and she was surprisingly accurate. Of course, that doesn't mean she was psychic, maybe just intuitive, which prodded me to write Cass's character.
DeleteI do not believe in psychics, but definitely believe in physics ~
ReplyDeleteLol!

I'm not a believe or disbeliever in physics. I'd rather leave myself open to be shown if there are. As of yet, I've not had any experience to say there are but also no proof that there aren't. :)

I do believe in psychics, altho I haven't had any experiences with any.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Cass Donnovan is a fun clairvoyant heroine!
ReplyDelete"Do you believe in physics? If so have you had an experience with one you would like to share." And, yes, I strongly believe in physics! I believe we should teach it much more in school!
DeleteI'm not sure if I believe, but they do make fun reading.
ReplyDeleteGreat series. Can't wait to read the latest book. I really like the psychic aspect in the storyline.
ReplyDeleteI do believe in psychics and have had a couple of readings, but I don't remember anything specific. It was an interesting experience and I would do it again.
