Starry Night by Debbie Macomber
Trade Paperback
ISBN: 9780345528896
Synopsis: Carrie Slayton, a big-city society-page columnist, longs to write more serious news stories. So her editor hands her a challenge: She can cover any topic she wants, but only if she first scores the paper an interview with Finn Dalton, the notoriously reclusive author.
Living in the remote Alaskan wilderness, Finn has written a megabestselling memoir about surviving in the wild. But he stubbornly declines to speak to anyone in the press, and no one even knows exactly where he lives.
Digging deep into Finn’s past, Carrie develops a theory on his whereabouts. It is the holidays, but her career is at stake, so she forsakes her family celebrations and flies out to snowy Alaska. When she finally finds Finn, she discovers a man both more charismatic and more stubborn than she even expected. And soon she is torn between pursuing the story of a lifetime and following her heart.
My review: I enjoyed reading this book. It has been awhile since I have read one of Debbie's book but I am glad I read this book. It was a nice fast weekend read for me. I enjoyed reading a holiday story to try and get us in the mood soon for the season there was not enough of the Christmas to be overwhelming. Of course this is a romance book so it may not be for all of you but it was a nice book. I suggest picking this book up if you are looking for something fun and quick to read.

ReplyDeleteDebbie is always a good read! Favorite memory would be Christmas at my grandparents when we were little and my Grandpa would pretend to be Santa. :)

After many years apart my whole family got together in Australia at my parents home for Christmas. It was special because my dad died shortly afterwards.
ReplyDeleteIt's a memory I will always cherish.

Probably the year my parents got me tickets to go see my favorite sports team. It was so unexpected!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is my son's first talking Christmas. He was born two days after Christmas so it was close to year number 2 when I could enjoy his gabbing. :) Before he went to bed, we set out cookies for Santa as well as stockings. He really really wanted to stay up so he dawdled by saying goodnight to everything. I can still hear him saying "Goodnight twee, goodnight cookie, goodnight stottins." :) Adorable. Thank you for the giveaway.
