Synopsis:
1956: When Caterina Rosetta inherits a cottage in the countryside of Italy from a grandmother she’s never known, she discovers a long-buried family secret — a secret so devastating, it threatens the future of everything her mother has worked for. Many years before, her mother’s hard-won dreams of staking her family’s claim in the vineyards of California came to fruition; but as an old murder comes to light, and Caterina uncovers a tragic secret that may destroy the man she loves, she realizes her happiness will depend on revealing the truth of her mother’s buried past.
What did I think of this book:
*This is a review in progress as I received this book late in order to do a full review today* I am enjoying the writing style of this author. She is good with the descriptions and the character development. The story has caught my attention and is flowing nicely. I like that there is a bit of mystery in this story and can't wait to see how it all unfolds with what is going on. I like how Caterina is a strong woman and running her own vineyard alongside her mother. I am looking forward to seeing how this book ends and how all the secrets play out.
