Synopsis:
Psychic Clyde Fortune and her zany family are back in the fourth in the national bestselling series from the author of A Fright to the Death.

Former cop and novice psychic Clyde Fortune finds herself in a race for justice when a Zombie Fun Run turns deadly…

All of Crystal Haven, Michigan, is psyching up to participate in a Zombie Fun Run organized by Clyde’s nephew Seth, but Clyde is fretful about the undead festivities. For one thing, her sister, Grace, has unexpectedly returned to town after fifteen years. For another, Clyde has the nagging feeling that something is about to go wrong…

When one of the zombie runners is found murdered and then Grace disappears, Clyde realizes her grim premonition is dead-on. Now, she and her police detective boyfriend Mac must find a ghoulish murderer before someone points the finger at Grace. And when a tangled web of family secrets and old grudges combines with a mysterious case of stolen diamonds, even someone as quick-witted as Clyde might not be able to outrun a killer…

What did I think of this book:
This is a fun cozy mystery that had me staying up late just to finish it. I enjoyed going back to Crystal Haven to see what is up with Psychic Clyde and her crazy family. While it is never good to find a dead body what better place to find one but at a zombie fun run. There were twists and turns and family secrets that made this a fast paced book as well as kept you guessing until the end. There was a lot of fun in this book as well as some getting to know more about the members of this fun town. I hope you take the chance on this series and give it a read.

Character Interview:
Answered by Violet Greer from the Family Fortune Mysteries

1. What is your perfect happiness
Working on a mystery with my niece, Clyde. She used to be a police officer so she knows lots of detective stuff. I'm trying to get her to use her psychic abilities more than she does. We could be an unstoppable duo if she would give it a chance!

2. What word or phrase do you overuse
I've been told that I say, "I knew it!," more often than I should. I only say it when I really did know...

3. If you would change one thing about yourself what would it be
I'd like to be taller.

4. What is your motto
Never give up.

5. What is your most treasured possession

My mother's crystal ball - I share it with my sister. Mom was a very gifted psychic and I feel like she is with us again when we use her crystal ball.

6. Most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you

I almost got arrested by Clyde's boyfriend for following a suspect during our first murder investigation.

7. What is your greatest fear
That my family is never safe.

8. What do you consider your greatest achievement
Convincing Clyde to go into business with me.

9. Who do you most admire

Jane Goodall - she isn't psychic, but she seems to be able to talk to chimpanzees and has done amazing things with her life.

10. Five random things about you
I can do zombie makeup that will give you nightmares.
I wanted to be a police officer when I was ten.
I've only been in love once.
My favorite colors are purple and orange.
Even though I am a pet psychic, I don't have my own pet.

  8. I love paranormal books. I've never gone to a psychic, but have gone to a palm reader. It was kinda 'spooky' hearing some of the things she was saying. She didn't know me, so it was surprising. She did say I would find 'the love of my life' singing. Shockingly, she was right! My wonderful husband of 27 years serenades me all the time.
